OK

I'm using Ethereal on HA

I can see router advertisements:flags 0x00
                                   (...)
                                  ..0. ....=Not Home
Agent
                                    (...)

---->>If you are able to see the router advertisements, "rtadvd" daemon
should be running.
Restart the rtadvd daemon giving "-m" option which sets the mipv6 related
things in router advertisements.
Also in the conf file for rtadvd specify some valid lifetime.

A sample conf file entries for rtadvd can be as follows:
---------------------
Xl1:\
        :rltime#100:
---------------------
We can start the rtadvd daemon as follows:

Rtadvd -m xl1

Where xl1 is the interface name of HA in home network.

Rtadvd executable is the one which is under /usr/local/v6/sbin or
/usr/local/v6/bin

Ok. It works.

So the HA is not working correctly.
This is how I have configured the HA:

1) /usr/local/v6/etc/had.conf:
debug 1;

interface xl1 {
        command-port 7778;
        preference 10;
};

2) /etc/rc.conf
ipv6_ifconfig_xl1_alias0="2001:660:3203:1012::1000"
ipv6_ifconfig_xl1_alias1="2001:660:3203:1012:fdff:ffff:ffff:fffe
anycast"
ipv6_mobile_enable="YES"
ipv6_mobile_nodetype="home_agent"
ipv6_mobile_home_interface="xl1"

ipv6_default_router="fe80::206:5bff:fe55:4a87%xl1"

---then reboot

Is there something wrong on that?

(can I apply the filter AH with Ethereal?)

--> IPsec is not enabled right! why do u want to apply filter AH. Its not
required. You can apply filter "ip6" just to get the ipv6 packets.

Just check the source address of the IPv6 packet if you want to know whether
the packet is from HA or not.

Thank you very much for help!

Sondes
