Hi Nikolaus, Thanx.
Lenny and etch have the wpa_supplicant without zydas driver, those ones should work with kernel 2.6.24.3. The echo power string is needed if you use internal build in wifi (usb port hidden inside) you can disable the power from this usb. If you use the external usb stick you do not need to power it. Just plug it in and out ;-) Check lsusb or dmesg to see if correct zd1211 firmware is loaded when use ifup eth1. Herewith my uploaded lenny tar.bz2 from my trendtac (182MB] http://www.divshare.com/download/12366817-b49 Grt Ruben. How does one know that? Is the one coming from Debian Lenny wihout zydas? d) reconfigure /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf with the correct security encryption. wpa2-psk example here: this is n/a ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant eapol_version=1 ap_scan=1 fast_reauth=1 network={ ssid="your wifi nameserver" pairwise=TKIP psk=encrypted password key_mgmt=WPA-PSK proto=WPA2 priority=5 } e) For easy use also add the /etc/network/interfaces and add: That is (basically) in Lenny 400 http://projects.goldelico.com/p/l400-rootfs/source/tree/master/config/etc/network/interfaces auto eth1 iface eth1 inet dhcp available wpa_driver wext missing resp. wrong... wpa_conf /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf A similar line is available, but the file(s) are missing. Do you know how poer management of the WiFi module works?Does it really need echo "1" >/proc/jz/wifi-power? f) optional wireless-lan application can be used. The best approach would be if someone who manages to make itwork sends me a (git-) diff so that I can check it in so that the directdownload already has all (at least most) configurations.
