It's working without any issues on my trendtac epc700 + external zd1211b usb stick + kernel 2.6.24.3(uImage_RV10) + lennyflux.
Could be different reasons why not working: - or your wep / wpa setting is wrong (try wireless-lan app to see if you find any wireless host and setup correct crypting) - or udev is not working (check lsusb, should show your wifi adapter) - or zd1211 firmware is not loaded (check dmesg, it should show correct firmware loaded when ifup eth1) - your wifi from netbook is different as zd1211rw and need a different kernel driver. - kernel could be different, which do not load zd1211rw correctly. try http://projects.kwaak.net/twiki/pub/Epc700/KernelPort26Compiling/uImage_RV10 - or I added some tricks later on which may not be included in rvfluxlenny.tar.bz2 ..
