Hi Bas and Nils,

I think you are talking about below port:
There is an hidden connection in the trendtac, which is an additional usb port.
I have connected a usb connector + wifi stick to it.
Used http://www.flickr.com/photos/trendtac/ pictures.
if the uart+communication still works, then we do not need jtag, but can use
telnet to hook up a console.
Hook up a serial console via the battery compartment would be the same I would
guess ?

Hi Ard,

The cas-3plus costs 61.50 euro. I have no experience with this one, weird, well
my cable tv is good enough ;-)
It looks like it is equiped with 20 pins cable, jtag standard?

For rs232 (hook up to serial console) we may use below one.

Hi Nikolaus,

I am looking forward to the results and documentation of your jtag setup.

I have below questions with respect to jtag and jz4730:
- Where to attach the jtag interface connections to the jz4730 (trendtac) ?
Maybe the hidden usb port or ttyS0 serial port ?
- What kind of Jtag access serial protocols/testmodes are needed for jz4730
(trendtac epc700) ?
- do we need additional software for jtag communication to be able to program
nandflash with uboot ?

- Is there a possibility to 'heal' bad nand blocks via jtag commands ?

Grt Ruben.
