Please address my point, not my wording. Sometimes it may be useful
to install a few programs on a firewall or router that are not in base.

(1) My question was about the official policy. When / if I'm pointed to
a written form of that policy (which is basically what I'm asking
for), I might consider submitting a patch to it. :-)
(2) If you're actually referring to my previous posts on ports@,
somebody else has already posted a patch for the problem I was
describing. I did test it on all architectures I have access to,
and posted my results to the list.

Now, taking over somebody else's work would be downright rude,
wouldn't it?

Perhaps making other people aware of what I perceive as a policy
problem affecting everybody, is an acceptable form of contributing too.

Sorry, s/pftop/pfstat/ .
