There is a BIOS update available for this machine, something to check out before proceeding further. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.ws/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-73436 The changelog doesn't indicate anything specifically interesting, but it probably couldn't hurt. -Bryan (..yet another).
