-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all !
<disclaimer> I know it's 100times more easier to criticize than to create in the first place. I hope this might be useful, if not please forgive me. </disclaimer> ;) I like the new logo very much except for one part : the multiple colors on the background part of the XXX. Here is why : - - the less colors, the most simple is a logo to remember. - - the less colors, the most reusable is a logo. - - on the black background version, I had the impression on my first sight that it looked like twisted audio cables, then that impression was cut by the rational thought that no cable is multi-colored like that. So here is what could be done : - - having the "background" bar of the 1st and 3rd X : being one color (say blue) - - having the "bacgrkound" bar of the 2nd X being another color (say red), - -> then you'll truly have this impression of 2 cables being twisted together, if you like that idea. Another idea could be to have a green waveform on the background of the X, so they would look like twisted pairs of DNA carrying information... but audio information... (maaaan, that's deeeep ! ;)) Long live to miXxxXxX and miXxxXxers ! j Albert Santoni wrote: > Hi guys, > > As part of our ongoing effort to build branding/identify for Mixxx, and > as part of our site redesign for the 1.6.0 final release, I've been > tossing ideas back and forth with Paul Bloch and Mark Hills about a new > logo for Mixxx. > > After a few prototypes, I think Paul's come up with something quite good > (see attachment).
