(AIUI) they used to have the same level of support (using the kernel HID thingie), but recently mixxx changed to using libdjconsole. This doesn't work with the Control MP3 though. To make it work, you need to use the old way of doing things, which is what djconsole_legacy gives you. And then, the kernel patch fixes the HID layer in the kernel to allow LEDs to work.

If you want to make the control MP3 work, I can give you a binary of mixxx built for it, if your system is similar enough to mine for it to be a drop-in replacement. Then, if you apply the kernel patch or use the modules I made to make the LEDs work, you get pretty complete support (including cutesy little things I added like using the extra LEDs as VU meters and so on). As it is, my kernel patch won't work with the Mk1 and Mk2, simply because I haven't tested it (don't have the hardware) and aren't looking for their USB IDs. It's not a big deal in that case though, as they do work with the default build anyway. -- Robin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> JabberID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hostes alienigeni me abduxerunt. Qui annus est?
