The only thing I have to mention is that compact view confuses two things:
* Multiple Instances of a single effect
* Distinguishing which is on which channel
The actual idea behind compact mode is pretty darn good though. It will
probably also need a widget since the Skin XML language has no way of
defining anything generic yet, at least AFAIK.
