One idea ive had is using mixxx as a console mixer. Works fine as a
recording mixer, n-decks could be created, skin could be created for it,
24, 32 decks, no waveforms required, not even preview waveforms. For live
use of mixxx as a console mixer, however, deck inputs would be needed, i
was thinking Aux would work, but Aux goes straight into the master,
bypassing the crossfader and any decks. Would be nice to be able to
inject/insert the audio from a Aux into a deck, so it could be EQ'ed,
faded, and crossfaded, before hitting the master vol and outputs.
I could easily see mixxx being a software emulated console mixer, for those
who mix audio live, for church for instance, but don't get enough practice
time.
Additional bonus point if you can figure out how a mid EQ sweep knob would
be done in mixxx, as a UI element. Can the mid EQ point be controlled via
an interface element or script? or would that have to be coded?
Waylon.
