Is the data from a video capture card? Or is it from a 'rip'd DVD
or a MPEG file that was downloaded from the Internet? The first
(capture card data) can be edited and then encoded, the second
(already encode movies) can NOT be edited with mjpegtools.
mjpegtools is used to _create_ MPEG files, not edit them ;)
the files are from my digital camera so maybe they fall into the first
category, but i guess they are encoded and fall into the second
category. i shall see if i can get avi from the camera directly which
will avoid the problem in the future.
