Ok - I found the DSC-P93 manual on Sony's support site.
The DSC-P93 records MPEG1 video at either 640x480 or 160x112 framesize
(according to pages 111 and 122 of the manual).
For more than simple (and coarse) editing (using something like
ProjectX for example) it will be necessary to decode the data into
a different format.
