I say go for it. You will easily get 12k worth of enjoyment out of that car,
if you keep it for a long time. I'd put the updated chain tensioners in it
when you get the car so budget that cost
in right away. They tended to disintegrate after about 75k on the earlier
VR6's. Hope you have good credit and a nice job 'cause the bank will probably
only give you a personal loan for that.
I paid a considerable amount over blue book for my '78 so I had to go that
route.

Subject: Guys I need your opinions, I might replace my GTI for this

Hey guys I found a corrado that I'm really intrested in, here's the ad

1993 VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO VR6, 49100 original miles (currently June, 4), 5
Speed, Leather, Sliding Sun Roof, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power
Windows and Door Locks, Cruise Control, AM/FM Stereo, Cassette, CD Changer
(needs to be fixed), non-smoking, great car! Have to see it.

He is asking $12,000 for the car but is willing to negotiate.

What do you think I should offer? What is it worth? Should I give up the GTI
for this?

Thanks for any feedback!
Jason
