I personally just park the car and shake the hell out of the engine from the
intake- while it is cold of course. If it moves a lot, not good. :)

  Subject: How to check motormounts?

How can I check the motormounts to make sure they're not shot? Are there
any other ways than to pull the handbrake and let the clutch out a bit,
while someone else looks at the engine?
Also is there anyway to tell which mount is bad?

On my car when I let out the clutch, if I let it out too quick, or if I
don't match the revs good enough and let it out quick, I get a 'clunk clunk'
that seems like the engine is jumping around in the engine bay. It makes the
car extremely hard to drive smoothly. I was thinking the front motor mount,
or maybe the rear one...

  Any ideas?
