Those kits eliminate the parts of the stock system that work fine, and
don't do anything about the parts that cause almost all of the slop- the
"golf ball" and the main shaft bushing.  Unfortunately there's not much
that can be done there, so once they wear out you're still stuck with a
sloppy shifter with a nice set of $300 heim joints.  The stock "ball and
socket" connectors can have marginally more slop in them, but it's not
huge.

If your shifter is that bad try replacing all the bushings first and see
how you like it... only then would I recommend going for the komposit kit.
