It's the same with any car you buy - there are good ones and bad
ones. I've had two new "problem" VW's. One went back as a lemon, one was
on the thrid transmission when it was sold. My friend had a PITA Wrangler
that all the time had something failing in it. In a year he went through a
clutch, many electrical problems, etc. He got out of it before it totally
fell apart. Now I have a Dodge Durango that is rock solid. The only
problem I've ever had with it is that the rear gate latch needs lubed.
