I just spoke with Shine and their kit for the a2 jetta goes for $829 and
includes Bilstein HD strut inserts and shocks, 200 lb linear rate front
springs, 120 lb linear rear springs and a rear sway bar. The Shine setup
doesn't lower the car much, only 1/2 in or so, thats fine for me. It
costs more than I really wanted to spend, but it sounds like what I am
looking for. Shine did seem to recommend against the Boge, saying that
they don't seem to work as well as the Bilstein HDs.

I was thinking of spending closer to $500 or less. Is there anything in
that price range worth getting?
