I am on 31 Yahoo! Groups and moderate one group. I have not noticed an increase in spam. I have been lucky that I have not had so much spam as to have to use filtering software. (Knock on wood)
I was trying to find out if there are any limits on the Groups but couldn't find any info on that. But the automobile detailing group has 1210 members and 2671 messages. It seems that every group only keeps messages for 3 years. The oldest messages I see in any group is from 2000.
