Hey Guys, My 87 1.8 GTI is running awfully hot. With the AC on I see oil temps in the 240 to 250+ range (using Mobil1) and the Coolant gauge is way high too. I haven't gotton the red light to go on yet but when it gets really hot I turn off the AC and drive it gently. Any thoughts on getting the temps down? The car has 214K miles on it. I was thinking of putting an external oil cooler in (any suggestions on sources) and/or replacing the radiator. I know the fan works. We have had some extra hot weather lately but still there should be a way to get i down. Thanks and happy Independence day! James Blumenfeld 87 gti 16v
