I am replacing the manual steering rack on my 16V project car with a power steering rack from a donor car. I am searching for the small tool that seperates the tierod ends from the hub carriers. I don't want to use a hammer or a pickle fork because I want to keep the tierod ends intact. I tried a gear puller and a steering wheel puller. Neither tool can maintain a grip on the hub carrier.
I have borrowed the correct VW tool in the past but I cannot seem to find one anywhere now. Does anyone know where to find this tool? Thanks Les
