.. just thought i'd throw this out there for anyone who might know anything
about these problems.
1. Anytime i brake while between the speeds of 45 and 55, i get a harsh
vibration in the steering wheel.. it only seems to be at that speed though..
whats the deal? rotors?
2. Anytime I drive the car for longer than 1 1/2 hours strait, it starts to
lose a ton of power, I just starts feeling like im driving a 1.8L 8V. If i
let the car sit for a couple of hours, its ok again. The engine doesnt get
any hotter, i just done get any power after its been running for a while.
could it be that the timing belt softens upa dn 'slightly' streches so that
my timing changes a bit? and when I let the car sit the belt cools off and
shrinks again? i know that probably sounds a little nuts, but stranger
things have happened, i dont currently have a timing belt cover on it, so it
IS more exposed to the outside air.
3. Anytime I accellerate at high speed from a dead stop, i hear this really
bad cracking, straining machanical sound. kinda like what it would sound
like if you were walking around on an old wood porch. it goes away once im
moving though. I KNOW this cant be good so needless to say, when i do drive
the car, i drive it gently. I had one guy tell me it might be the front
bearings. what do you all think?
Thanks alot.
