Well, I'm glad to see that you're on the list Bob.

However, I give everybody the same advice, get all
your used cars checked out by a qualified, trusted
shop before purchase.

Sorry, but buying any older car without that is just
plain silly.  Maybe you're comfortable buying a 10+yr
old car just on somebody's assurances, but I'm not.

That doesn't make me untrustful, it means that I try
to protect my interests, as I expect the seller to. 
There might be things wrong with the car that the
seller is unaware of, but I'd want to know before
purchasing the car.  

I'm realistic.  And in this case I'd be more than
willing to drive further in order to get the car
checked out, as you should with the audi as well.
