Yup. but I think it's Blickle I haven't ridden in it, but I know before Bob got it, she had sat for a long time. He's done quite a bit to it to straighten it out. There were some PO things that needed to be worked through, some classic "I'll fix it right later." Bob's a pretty straight up guy and tends to do things the "right way" the first time.
The car is actually very straight if I recall correctly. I'd put it in the none to little rust category. The paint job really is an 80s classic. So 80's I would hesitate to call it "ricer" since the Fast and the Foolish wasn't even a gleam in the producers eyes yet. I know he's been driving it for a little bit now, probably to shake it down before the big drive to Chicago this weekend. But since I haven't actually ridden in the car, I can't make any guesses as to how it runs. If I was looking for 8v GTI right now, and knowing that Bob had run through it, this one would be at the top of the list--even with the paint job ; ).
