I don't care if the guy is willing to deliver it to
your driveway!  The car has had significant work done
to it and there are likely lots of little (and not so
little) issues with it.  You need to know this before
you do any deal.

I'ma lso suspicious about him turning the car so
quickly.  Why is he getting rid of it?

Also, why did you sell your 2l 16v GTI to pick up
something like this?  Your old GTI you knew about, and
you could've pulled the weitec suspension off, sold it
and been happy.

Additionally, due to the motor swap you'll be put into
prepared class for auto-x, where you're going to get
your butt totally kicked by race prepped lotus' etc.

Protect yourself here, get the car checked out, don't
go for convenience.  Remember where that got you last
time...
