The step up to 10.1" is very easy. The entire assembly from a 90-92 B3 Passat will bolt up to an A2 Golf. The A3 Golf/Jetta with 4x100 bolts has a similar setup and can also be used. I've mixed and matched pieces from these cars with no problems.
If you desire to go 11" brakes, then the easiest is to get the front brakes off a Corrado that also has the 4x100 bolt pattern. You will need a minimum 15" wheels with the correct offset to make these work on your car. Subject: [a2-16v-list] 9.4 vs 10.1 vs 11 inch brakes I know this is asked a lot, but i seem to have forgotten all the differences. What is needed to convert from 9.4 inch brakes to the 10.1? Can the brakes from an A3 be used, and if so what a3's had 10.1 inch brakes. Finaly other than size what else is different between the 10.1 and 11 inch brakes. Is it just the callipers, the carriers and the disks themselves? -Denis _______________________________________________ a2-16v-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.a2-16v.com/mailman/listinfo/a2-16v-list For list archives, see listinfo link above.
