Yes, this is correct. When running 11" brakes with odd-offset wheels (I think the 15" BBS from GLI's are 35, instead of the regular 38), the thinner 10.1" pads need to be used over the standard 11" pads. The footprint of the pads is exactly the same - the 11" pads are just slightly thicker.
