Your goals are admirable but the worst thing you can do to a car is
to park it (garaged or not).  I tried the same thing with my car and
it kept falling apart even though it was parked - silly stuff like
stuck calipers, dry-rotted seals and so forth.  Then my rental-kid
backed in into a kerb and I realized that I was stupid for not
enjoying the car - if it gets destroyed, that's a shame but at least
I was able to enjoy it.
