i agree, i sold all my vw's but still linger around the list like a bad fart :)
do you have a price budget? if your going for cheap, you can run 2 intake cams or exhaust cams, i forget which it is, to gain u like 5hp, i have the web site write up somewhere i think, also do a bigger throttle body , swiss cheese the airbox a lil, adv the timing maybe 3-4 deg's? do you run any exhaust upgrades? unless your removing the head - port'n polish - larger valves - cams - then the springs prolly wont help much, also next time u do the clutch, take the flywheel to the machine shop and have it lightened'
