Les,
I'm friends with coupple guys with MKI Sciroccos with 2l 16Vs.
Both of them have ported, decked, 5 angle valve job, 1.8l 16V heads mated
to a stock rebuilt 2l block, with stock scirocco 16V intake manifolds,
running CIS-E injection.
Both of them are pushing upwards of 170hp (@ the flywheel). I've seen the
dyno plots.

Another guy I know has a 2l 16V Jetta with oversized pistons, done head,
Schrick Cams, JE Pistons, Euro Intake Manifold, G Chip and a 4K tranny with
longer 5th gear. From what I'm told he's pushing 200hp and I've heard
stories from good friends who say that he can keep up with Vette's and M3's
on the highway. Last I heard, he was considering going to Individual
Throttle Bodies.

Ambitious: Yes, Impossible: No.

I'm hoping it will be a fun project getting up there.

Mark.
