Yeah, I could really use a source cheaper than the dealer. I am currently restoring my 91 gli. I will need many new window seals.
t this point the body has been stripped and I now need to remove the engine and engine bay stuff. Hopefully President's Day, when the wife is at work and my son is at daycare, I can get a lot of that done. Progress is real slow when you have a wife and a 7 month old. At this point I have already spent a year of just stripping the car to get it ready for the body shop, but I am the only one working on it. Anyone in central New York want to help remove an engine? My shop is heated! Jesse Brian Wilkeson wrote:
This would be great as I have a small puddle behind my drivers seat any time it rains hard. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Les Noriel Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 12:26 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [a2-16v-list] A2 Door and Window Seals A source for replacement door and windows seals has been discussed on this list before with little success in locating a source. Some dealers still carry the items for our cars but aftermarket has fallen short. Parts that are available have been expensive. PAP Autoparts, one of the Vortex sponsors, is working with manufacturers over seas to explore the idea of making replacement seals for our cars. Prices have yet to be determined but there seems to be a high degree of interest. Much more so than any other group-but scenarios that I've seen in the past. Hopefully something comes of this See the thread http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1819804 -Les _______________________________________________ a2-16v-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.a2-16v.com/mailman/listinfo/a2-16v-list For list archives, see listinfo link above. _______________________________________________ a2-16v-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.a2-16v.com/mailman/listinfo/a2-16v-list For list archives, see listinfo link above.
