my '89 was falling apart and was costing me more and more money every few
months, but I was being stubborn and swore i'd never get rid of it (youthful
thinking) One day at a gas station, some guy in a huge jacked up truck
pulled up and while i was gasing up, asked me about the year of my car and
mentioned he had a '91 16v he was wanting to sell. He had been for owner for
a while and just didnt like it much anymore (he was into trucks now as I
could see) He had done some restorations to it from an old accident and it
was in perfect shape. he only wanted $2000 for it to get out from under it
and actually agreed to hold it on my behalf for another three weeks while i
got the money, which I did and had the car those 3 weeks later. Sold my 89
GLi which I heard the kid that bought it blew it up a week after (a moment
of silence) and ive had this 91 ever since.

The result of being at that gas station 4 years ago:

now THIS one, i doubt ill get rid of anytime soon, as I see maybe a handful
or less of them every year.
