On my '89 1.8 16v, that is about what I saw after a new radiator, water pump,
and elimination of the water/oil heat exchanger. I have a new to me '92 2L 16v
that runs as high as 270's in the desert with the AC on (El Centro, CA)! I am
in the process of removing the heat exchanger now and putting in a new
radiator. I also brushed a LOT of little stones out of the AC condensor, should
help air flow. Radiators are cheap! I hope I don't still have to add an oil
cooler after this is done.
