The Fujimi model looks familiar. I was at my parents' house over the weekend but didn't take an opportunity to look at the model very closely.
I do like the GTI Cup model - I don't remember seeing that before but have one racing contact who ran that series and another who has one of the original cars. They were 8v cars and to say they're slow would be a bit of an understatement since they were truly showroom stock cars at that time. It amuses me to think of the cars as "antique". I especially find humor in the kiddies (VW Vortex springs to mind) who chastize me for "hurting my baby". If I'd wanted a show car, I'd have fixed up my 19K mile Thunderchicken but it was always more fun to create new holes and "drive it like I stole it". Did VW offer models of the A2 cars to dealers? I have a "dealership" model of my Audi V8 which isn't completely accurate but it's 1/43 scale and with my aging eyes, it looks absolutely perfect <G>. >________________________________ > From: Charlie Russo <[email protected]> >To: Volkswagen a2 16v discussion list <[email protected]> >Sent: Sunday, October 28, 2012 5:22 PM >Subject: Re: [a2-16v-list] Need a Smaller GTI 16V? > >Matthew, > >By Chance is this the model you are talking about? > >http://www.gti16v.com/images/Fujimi_GTI16V.jpg > >The wheels, Headlight & Grill are not accurate.
