That changes nothing. Neither does changing it to dv_pal_wide.

Well, that does produce a clip of the right length, but
(a) I'd also like to render a higher quality version, probably 50p, so
    I don't think my profile should be set to that
(b) Doesn't that mean that kdenlive/melt will deinterlace (i.e. blur)
    my progressive clips, before shrinking them and then interlacing them?
