Instructions to unsubscribe from this list at the end of the message - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Well there are 2 ways generally used to install a program on linux.. either through binary distributions (RPMs) which do not require you to compile the program, or installing by obtaining the source and compiling it (using the gcc compiler). The source is usually compressed in .tar.gz format (similar to .zip files in Windows). I'm guessing you have RPMs in your CD, so just double click them and the packages will be installed. You should then find the program's executable (or folder) in /etc or /usr/local. Hope this helps ;)
