No other advantages except the ones you have mentioned :-) Linux is just for geek people who are keen and willing to spend time to discover things in Linux. The reward for these people is that Linux will behave exactly the way they want it. Linux will give better security, better configuration tools, flexibility and freedom of choice. By the way, most of your friends wont be happy on Linux anyway:-)
