After some consideration, I'm getting an Asus Eee PC 1000HE, it has a very
long battery life, Asus claims 9.5h, but some users reported getting as much
as 10h30 without wifi and with brightness set at minimum. Reviews claim a
bit over 7h of battery life in their battery tests. They improved the
keyboard, though it might not be as good as the NC10's keyboard, it
certainly looks good enough.

It has the new Atom 280, for what its worth (2-5% performance improvement)
and has a GMA950, so no drivers problem on linux. It has N wifi and
bluetooth... and it's shipping in the states, so it should be here soon.

The best part: it's cheap, they sell it for 475$ at micro-boutique (but they
don't have it in stock yet), I'm sure you can find it cheaper if you shop
online. NCIX had some in stock but they sold out very very fast.
