Vonage does not allow you to connect directly to a SIP or IAX VoIP server with the software of your choice. Vonage forces you to use their own software or VoIP appliances (ATA's, Routers with phone/voip jacks, etc).
SFLphone is an open source SIP VoIP client which you can use to connect to any SIP VoIP provider of your choosing.
