In that case I'd suggest Zoiper w/ Asterisk, and whatever termination you want 
from the Asterisk side.  Vonage typically isn't really worth it as an ITSP.  
Zoiper is a better choice in that you can carry the app extracted & with a 
connection profile handy on a USB Key without having to even install it, and it 
supports IAX2 as well as SIP in case you are in SIP-hostile networks.
