there is an option to use Vonage with 3rd party apps, its called "Softphone 
account", and yes it can work with Asterisk.  Skype is the bastard child of 
telephony, and devices like that USB handset are onlya  front-end to the Skype 
client anyway.  What is your actual goal again?
