If there were I would have it. Instead I have a jailbroken ithing. If 
you know of a player that is actually comparable or even better than the 
ithings, please please recommend it to us! It doesn't have to have all 
the gimmicks, but size, battery, wifi would all be important.

In case we don't know, the jailbreak is trivial, you can still use it as 
normal on the itunes app store, it simply adds another app store thing 
that can install any program. Basically all it does is allows unsigned 
packages to be installed. You can restore the original OS at any time.

While I agree it is insane, it seems less insane than buying a windows 
laptop and putting ubuntu on it. Haven't we chosen to live this insane 
lifestyle on purpose? I mean, until we have free and open platforms for 
everything we will be subverting hardware to suit our purposes.
