Hi, everyone. I'm looking for a Montreal store that carries JTAG interfaces.
I have been developing software on a small Linux-based ARM7 system. The firmware I have been using and modifying has a web interface for uploading new firmware. This has been working well for dozens of revisions until I goofed the root filesystem and bricked the board. Doh! Fortunately, the board has a JTAG port (some soldering required to add a socket). In theory, using openocd, I should be able to hook up a USB dongle that can talk JTAG with the device and re-flash the firmware. Openocd (http://openocd.sourceforge.net) seems to support several such dongles. Some googling led me to: - Tin Can Tools Flyswatter, $50 + shipping from U.S.A. (http://www.tincantools.com/JTAG/Flyswatter.html) - OEM Segger J-Link, $8 + $8 shipping from China (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/ARM-Emulator-supports-ARM7-ARM9-ARM11-Cortex-M3-core-ADS-IAR-STM32-Emulator-JTAG-interface-Double/582400366.html) I would prefer local sources, of course. Do MLUG-gers know any stores in Montreal that carry this kind of item?
