I'm assuming you're studying a European language, or at least one with
a similar phonetic alphabet, Patrick? Either that or you're
phenomenally gifted (or I'm incredibly dumb, which is quite possible).
I've been learning Chinese for about 6 months, and recently (about 2
weeks ago) committed to doing 12 new cards every day.
So for your two hour session taking on >100 new words, I could only
expect to add 24.
Currently, with about 950 cards in my deck, I get about 60 repetitions
a day and to get through them and the 12 new cards takes about an hour
if things are going well. Basically, especially with younger
characters, it's quite difficult to remember each card because it
involves learning the sound (easy) and the written characters (hard).

I'd estimate that, at least for my deck, I would have a lot more
repetitions as it scaled up in size - and it would be practically
impossible to add and learn 100 new cards a day. When I spent a short
time (re-)learning German and French, I was able to get through 50-100
cards quite easily, since it involves just remembering and speaking/
typing the word. With Chinese, I draw the characters on a graphics
tablet, then after revealing the answer draw each incorrect character
four times, which is extremely time-consuming.
That said, it will get quicker once you learn more of the basic,
common characters that longer words are often composed from.

Just my limited experiences so far.
