Hi Clayton,
It might help my analysis if you could post the first five records
from your file. Include every character from the first character up
until the fifth "sba". ("sba" is the end-of-record marker).
I've discovered a few things about the .mem file:
1) I can substitute the file header from one of my databases with the
file header from a different database.
2) I can take a question/answer pair from one database and add it to
a different database.
3) I can delete the "question" part from a Q/A pair, and it does not
cause problems. Mnemosyne simply presents an empty question, then
provides the answer. (Note that the records that you posted contain
only anwers - no questions.
All these comments suggest that the file is actually quite robust.
However, I cannot add one of your Q/A pairs and add it to my own
database.
Here is some more info:
1) The end-of-record characters are "sba".
2) The end-of-file marker is "a." (with a ".")
(So the last five characters in a file are "sbaa.")
