I'm sorry to hear that you find Mnemosyne difficult to easy. The first stumbling block is the download page which quite frankly is a mess. Hopefully this can be tidied up a friendlier page set up on the Mnemosyne page with clearer links. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mnemosyne-proj/files/mnemosyne/ It should be reorganised so that your first choice is a very obvious WINDOWS - MacOS and LINUX For Windows, you need to install http://sourceforge.net/projects/mnemosyne-proj/files/mnemosyne/mnemosyne-0.9.10/mnemosyne-0.9.10-setup.exe/download > Importing cards into mnemosyne requires writing > codes or whatever--just not ready for the hoi polloi yet-- which is > maybe what this community wants. Importing tab delimited questions and answers, or questions and answers on separate lines of a text file couldn't be easier!!!! > Mnemosyne should have a program using > their own program demonstrating how to use Mnemosyne step by step. Would a series of screen casts help you? Have a look at this screencase and see if this is of interest? http://screenr.com/q6s > is a pity and I am sure I am not the only one to have been discouraged > by its lack of user friendliness. >> Thanks. But now how do I get the Japanese Kanji cards? I see blank >> cards which evidently are for me to use to make my own set of cards >> but I would prefer to use the prepared ones? Thanks for your time. People share their flashcards in XML format which allows importing into Mnemosyne of Windows, Mac or Linux. Don't let the term "XML" scare you off. All you have to do with Mnemosyne is to choose the File > Import then choose the File Format of XML, then choose the XML file then click OK.
