I didn't follow everything you said, but I copied & pasted "ls -l /etc/ paths.d/" & got more or less exactly the same result as your post: " dhcp226022:~ rasul$ ls -l /etc/paths.d/ total 16 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 12 10 Oct 2008 TeX -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 13 23 Sep 2007 X11 dhcp226022:~ rasul$ more /etc/paths.d/Tex /usr/texbin " for the hell of it, I did what you recommended anyway, but still no luck with latex in mnemosyne. any chance it is a problem with my download of mnemosyne? any thoughts as to other possible sources of error?
