Nevertheless, and back to my primary issue, the reason I wanted to open the nmemosyne site in the first place was to access the info on how to change the language. As George indicated "By default, Mnemosyne will use the language to which your system is set... /_In fact: *Peter did.*.;~)_ /So sorry for all this bother and so grateful for all your advice&solutions.

PS: George, where about in Japan do you live? Any chances of coming to do a presentation on the software at the Nagoya Computer Club?/

Very glad that you got an answer from Peter, about 'locale' and pointers to Proxies from Oisin: Google "free web proxy".

While I used to live in Kochi, Shikoku, I only go to Japan for family weddings and other vacations, now. But could well put a presentation together in Keynote = PowerPoint export to any movie format. Could Skype myself for discussion. You could get an expert symposium assembled in your own favourite application; then show it at your club meeting. Get yourself hired to tutor the whole of Nagoya Education. That is the meaning of 'Free Software.'
