========= It was not a link but the URL.
I copied and pasted it 20 times.... Nothing worked, of course.
====================

.... some browsers have 'file' and 'save as'.

===== BINGO !
I saved it on my DeskTop as ABCD.Mp3

and .... { Music is playing :-) I added the stupid sound !

 The easiest way may be to try to get the sound is by recording while its
playing on your computer.
===== I could have done it in ANki - they added this option lately.
But I came here to see how user-friendly M-syne Manual is. How Naive !
But here, I at least made ANY card I wanted - and no Error Messages.

 Gnom, you are a Giant!
Thanks for your patience! You actually did look at that link the Guy came up
with.

   I am back in business.
See u at the next stumbling block. It will be "How do I use Text-to-speech"
capability { to record sentence{s}  or ....

PS. Curious how YOU add Sound files.
    Is there an easier way ?
========== For Newbies like myself:
This is how u add a sound bite in Windows {Mozilla browser}:
   First, u do not need to populate the Default.db.Media folder - M-syne will
put the copy of the file you will have fetched from Google.
1.Paste this link to URL area. Do not hit ENTER! First, change the
defauld word "WORD" to your word. Enter.
2.New tab opens and u will hear sound.
3.File-->Save Page As-->Desktop-->File name {your word}.Mp3
4.A blue musical note on white b-ground is on DT.
5.Create card-->Right click-->DT-->Choose the file.
6. This <audio src="plot_1_.mp3"> should be on the card.

   I hope something similar shows up in the Manual.

The end.
