I have been using Mnemosyne for about 4 years. Only this morning did i
upgrade to version 2.0. I checked carefully whether i needed to uninstall
the old version first. I also checked carefully whether i needed to do
something with the big database i have on Mnemosyne. Nothing was stated
anywhere, to my knowledge.
I downloaded 2.0 and got the message to close all other application. I did.
Upon installation i wanted to run Mnemosyne to see what the change were.
Wel, i was very much SOL. This was the message i got:

message re Visual C++ Runtime Library:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Then i went to see what programs/things were installed with 2.0 and i found
Mnemosyne Webserver. It gave the message Fatal Python Error. Interprete not
initialized (version mismatch?)

Btw, i run Windows 7.

I have the feeling that i should have uninstalled the old version first.
Nothing was said about thsi though. I didn't because i had hoped that all
the data and the grading of all the cards would transfer over smoothly to
2.0. I guess i was mistaken. Ha, ha, ha!

Any solution other than uninstalling everything and reinstalling 2.0? This
is an issue for me because yeah i have all the data in the Backups but it
will take me endless fiddling to get the data to be shown in Mnemosyne the
way i am used to it.
