My suggestion is to show a link in the Download area to any issues one
might encounter when upgrading, such as the necessity to uninstall the
old version of Mnemosyne, and also what to expect.
I've added this to the download page. Also, in the changelog notes for
the next version, I will always add that it's recommended to uninstall
the previous version. (BTW, personally I never needed to uninstall the
previous version, and I'm not sure what the reason is.)
Since there were no
comments showing, i just hit Download and then experienced a bit of a
panic attack when i ran into problems (to be cautious i had not
uninstalled the old version and that was exactly what was causing the
problems).
